COST REDUCTION

Drone inspection is a proven cost-effective alternative to other inspection techniques that DR1 has demonstrated in hundreds of projects. The ability to inspect the equipment while it is in operation means that it is not necessary to stop the asset and the cost savings can be up to seven digits.

MINIMIZE SAFETY RISK

DR1 operates in the world’s most challenging industrial environments, and successful project completion requires precision and experience. Drone inspection removes or at least mitigates hazards presented to personnel through working at heights, in hazardous areas, in confined spaces or outside operations. All our pilots have specific training and experience in drone operations.

FASTER INSPECTIONS

For areas that are typically difficult to access, such as the tip of a flare or the underdeck of a platform, drones dramatically reduce the inspection time normally required using rope access or scaffolding. DR1 has reduced working time by over 80% on some projects.

MAPPING IN 1/10 OF THE TIME

By using drones with embedded sensors we can perform a planialtimetric survey quickly with very low cost. We have as a case study a survey of 200 ha in 1 day, which would be done in 1 month by multiple conventional topography teams.

POINT-TO-POINT SOLUTIONS

With the agility and cost of drone operations, we were able to accelerate the initial inspection / survey process, generating a preliminary report / topographic report within a few days. In this way we were able to mobilize our conventional survey / topography team to the correct locations to perform necessary punctual services and then deliver the final report.
